About the game

In this light refraction game, use your knowledge of the theory of refraction of light to kill enemies.
Grades: 7 & 8
Time: 15- 20 mins
Skills you will learn:  Problem solving skills – Deciding whether to increase or decrease the refractive index of material in order to kill enemies; increase or decrease slab thickness to kill enemies. Arrange multiple slabs to refract light and kill enemy.
Teacher Notes: This game will help students understand Snell’s laws of refraction, critical angle and lateral displacement. It may be used as a 15 -20 minutes revision activity in class or as a homework assignment.

How to play

Level 1: Change refractive index of material to bend the light beam at enemy and kill.
Level 2: Change slab thickness and refractive index of slab to bend the light beam passing through a slab and kill enemies.
Level 3: Refraction through multiple layers – drag and drop slabs to arrange the slabs in correct order and kill enemy.
Level 4: In the last level answer multiple choice questions on refraction of light.
