Right hand thumb rule and Fleming’s left hand rule game
About the game
This is an interactive physics game to help high school students practice applying the Right hand thumb rule and Fleming’s left hand rule.
Grades: 10 & 11
Time: 20- 30 mins.
Skills you will learn: Ability to apply the Right Hand Thumb Rule to find the direction of the magnetic field around a straight current-carrying wire. Also use the Fleming’s left hand rule to find the direction of force on a current-carrying wire in a magnetic field.
Teacher Notes: This game will help students get a visual and spatial idea of how to use these basic rules of electromagnetism. It may be used as a 30 -40 minutes revision activity in class or as a homework assignment.
